FIRST STEAMSHIP TO CROSS ATLANTIC OCEAN"
"The Steamship 'Savannah' was the first steamship that crossed the Atlantic Ocean. It was built in New York and sailed March 28th, 1819, arriving in Savannah after a passage of six days, thence to Liverpool in eighteen days."
