"Order of Railway Conductors Home, Savannah, Ga.--11" This Colorized postcard depicts the Railway Conductors home and grounds, Verso: "The beautify structure of Georgian Colonial architecture was opened in November 1927 as a home for the aged and infirm members of the National Order of Railway Condors. It contains one hundred rooms and private baths and has a frontage of 208 feet, It is located on Oatland Island, five miles from the business district. Built at a cost of $300,000. |
